Day 3, Wolfgang, Typhoon Lagoon and Epcot

Day 3

We slept in this morning and decided to go back to Wolfgang for lunch. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and Brian had the beef pocket. Cade had Earl of sandwich again (sorry no pics). It was good as usual. We left and went to Typhoon Lagoon at about noon. After fun on Crush n Gusher, Keelhaul Rapids, the wave pool and the lazy river, the unpredictable Florida weather decided to give us a thunderstorm. We left and went back to the room about 3pm. Typhoon Lagoon was packed.

After packing, we headed to Epcot.

We went to the Coca Cola cooling station (this was closed @ 7pm the other night we were here). We tried all of the cokes. I think that the Ginger Ale is the best. Some were thumbs up and some were thumbs down.

Cade was siked about riding Living with the Land. (I know, I know, what can I say....he's kinda nerdy like his dad).

We went and rode the ride in Mexico. Next we went to Japan and did some shopping. Cade loves the Japanese fruit candy. Brian and Cade tried on Kimono's.

These are the Japanese version of Bugles.

Dinner was great. Brian and I had shrimp and steak. Cade had the chicken and steak. It was accompanied by grilled zucchini, asian noodles, and sticky rice. Dessert was ginger cake. The wait staff was very tentative to our drinks and our chef (although she was new) was very good and pleasing. All in all this was our BEST dinner this trip. We will definitely do this restaurant again.

Thanks again Kyoko for making this a wonderful evening. Disney should appreciate employees like you!

We went back to the AKL about 11pm. Our short trip was coming to a close. I wish we could've stayed longer but with Brian in school, we had to go in between his classes. I am looking forward to our week stay at AKL in December.

More pic of the savanna.

Cade thought this was funny. This is the fire pit at the AKL. Look closely at the sign.

WDW day 2 Animal Kingdom,Quest,Magic Kingdom

Day 2

We drove to the Animal Kingdom Park at about 9am. We went straight to Everest and got a fast pass. The line was short so we rode it twice in a row.

Everest

Like the day before, it was about 93 degrees with the heat index well over 100. Ak park is always the hottest park. I don't know if it's the foliage or what but you will sweat even in December. We decided to watch the monkeys. I love monkey and the baby is so cute.

We didn't see a whole lot of animals because of the heat. Hopefully we will see more in December like last year.

Komodo Dragon

Meerkat-another one of my favorite animals

Bat

This gorilla was hilarious. He sat back, enjoying his meal and people watched. He would lean to the left or right to get a better view as if he were thinking "look at that ugly shirt the human is wearing". We really enjoyed watching him watch us.We didn't see the gorilla with the blankie this time. Maybe in December.

We left AK and decided to got o DTD for lunch. We love Wolfgang Express @ the Market place. This is a great value on the DDP.

I had the Gorgonzola & Beef pocket. It was huge.

Brian had the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla. We both had iced tea and Creme Brulee.

Cade loves the Ham and Swiss sandwich from Earl of Sandwich. This lunch for 3 of us was $55.

We decided to go back to the resort for a swim.

Dinner was @ 5 at Ohana. It is served family style all you can eat. There is salad with yummy honey lime dressing, pot stickers, wings, asian noodles, broccoli, fire grilled turkey, beef, pork (the best) and shrimp with 3 types of dipping sauces. For dessert is bread pudding with banana caramel sauce. YUMMY!

Brian rubbing is fully tummy after Ohana. He kinda looks like the statue.

He can't seem to keep his hands to himself.

We took the monorail to the Magic Kingdom (extra magic hours and they were open to 3am).

Since Space Mountian and the TTA are down for refurbishment, we decided to head to Adventureland first. We rode the Jungle Cruise, Pirates and Aladdin's carpets with about a 15 minute wait.

Fighting pirates!

The park got much more crowded as we moved to Frontier Land. The humidity was unbearable. We stopped for Dole Whip floats which Cade lovers (this is strange bc a Dole Whip float is pineapple ice cream in pineapple juice and Cade wont touch ANY fruit at home). I personally think it's a little too much pineapple but this time I realized they had orange ice cream in pineapple juice so I got one of those instead. The orange ice cream tasted like a push up. It was cold and fruity. Brian insisted that he did not want one but proceeded to "help" me eat mine. Once again, I didn't take alot of pics bc it was so HOT and I didn't really care about anything else but getting cool. We got fast passes for Thunder Mountain Railroad and proceeded to the Country Bear Jamboree. Cade hates this show. It give me and Brian the perfect opportunity to sing along with the bears and embarrass him. It's not too hard to embarrass a 14 year old boy. This guarentees us that he will be mad and not speak to us for the next hour. ("Mama, Don’t Whip Little Buford")

Cade mad after we embarrassed him at the CBJ.

Cade forcing a smile

We went and rode the Haunted Mansion while we waited for our fast pass time for TMR. The wait was 20 minutes.

Me and Brian enjoying WDW.

Thunder Mountain Railroad is better at night. We rode it 3 times.

Brian doing the happy dance. This also embarrassed Cade. We decided to go back to the resort to swim. It was sooo hot. Tomorrow is Typhoon Lagoon and Epcot again. We have dinner @ Teppan Edo.
